Road and Cross Country Selection Guidelines
It is a privilege to represent Taranaki and as such the following guidelines are designed to ensure those who are chosen to wear Taranaki colours are actively promoting the sport in a positive light.
An opportunity will be provided for people to register their interest in being selected for one or more of the events that Taranaki compete in – North Island Cross Country Championships, New Zealand Cross Country Championships and New Zealand Road championships. The selectors will only select athletes who have submitted an expression of interest form.
(1) If injuries or other unavoidable events occur that prevent an athlete from meeting the following guidelines, then they need to ensure that they have communicated this fact to the selectors in a timely fashion. The selectors will then take this into consideration when making team selections.
